Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Dublin, OH is seeking a Medical Assistant to deliver direct patient care under the supervision of providers and RNs. You will take vitals, prepare patients, perform blood draws, injections, and EKGs, and use the EPIC system to document encounters.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with healthcare experience or a medical assistant program. BLS/CPR certification is required and ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–2 years medical experience or relevant degree; MA program completion preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification/Registration preferred; EMT training also considered.
• 1–2 years medical assisting experience preferred; or 2–3 years medical office experience if education is lacking.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and room patients with vitals (height, weight).
• Review medical history and chief complaints; gather information.
• Perform blood draws, injections and EKGs.
• Answer in basket messages and patient follow-ups.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation.
