Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant to deliver direct patient care within the Ohio scope of practice, under supervision of a provider or registered nurse and the practice manager.

The role emphasizes adherence to Mount Carmel policies, ongoing CPR certification, and prior medical office experience. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with a focus on primary care settings.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma or GED with 1-2 years medical experience or graduate with health science degree; MA program completion preferred.
• Nationally recognized Medical Assistant Certification or Registration is preferred.
• 1-2 years medical assisting experience; or 2-3 years medical office experience as alternative.

Responsibilities

• Administer direct patient care under provider or nurse supervision.
• Follow Mount Carmel Health System and department policies and procedures.
• Maintain current BLS/CPR certification and document care delivered.
