Job summary
Mount Carmel, a member of Trinity Health, seeks a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in Ohio under the supervision of a provider or nurse, adhering to Mount Carmel Health System policies.
Location: 370 E Broad St, Pataskala, OH 43062. Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm. The role includes vitals, blood draws, injections, EKGs, EPIC usage, and patient communication; requires high school diploma or GED with medical experience, or relevant health degree, with MA certification preferred.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years medical experience, or relevant health degree.
- Graduate/Completion of a medical assistant program preferred; MA certification/registration preferred.
- Current BLS/CPR certification required.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and room patients, record vitals and basic measurements.
- Review medical history and chief complaints, gather information.
- Perform blood draws, injections and EKGs; document in EPIC.
- Support patient communication and follow-up via in basket messages.
