Job summary

The UofL Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Jeffersontown/Ormsby Primary Care location in Louisville, KY. The role supports the medical team with triage, vital signs, patient history, EKGs, injections, and EHR documentation.

First Shift (8am-5pm) with responsibilities including scheduling, patient check-in, and coordinating care with physicians. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, Medical Assisting degree (preferred), and CMA/CCMA/RMA certification with BLS

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent (required).
• Medical Assisting Degree (preferred).
• Medical Assisting certification (CMA/CCMA/RMA) required.
• BLS (AHA) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains medical history and triages patients.
• Records vitals and coordinates care with physicians.
• Performs EKGs and injections as needed.
• Maintains accurate notes in the EHR and schedules follow-ups.
• Assists in exam room and patient flow management.
