UofL Health, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the outpatient care team in Louisville.

The role involves triage, vital signs, EKGs, injections, and efficient use of the electronic health record to maintain accurate patient information. Candidates should have a CMA, CCMA, or RMA certification (BLS required) and at least one year of medical assisting experience or a documented externship in a medical office; high school diploma or GED is required, with a medical assisting

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Medical assisting degree preferred.
• Certification from CMA, CCMA, or RMA is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• One year of medical assisting experience or externship in a medical office preferred.

Responsabilités

• Triage patients and obtain medical history and vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, injections, and basic procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate information in the EHR and coordinate with the medical team.
• Schedule tests, follow-ups, and admissions; assist in exam room as needed.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and office policies.
