Job summary

Graycor is seeking a Preconstruction Estimating Coordinator to support the self-perform preconstruction team in Oak Brook, IL. You will assist with union or subcontractor engagement, document management, and day-to-day preconstruction operations.

This role involves coordinating with internal departments on insurance, safety, quality, tax, and bonding reviews, creating bid boards, performing quantity take-offs, and helping with subcontractor prequalification and Bridgit Bench management.

Qualifications

• Associates or undergraduate degree in communications or marketing, or relevant discipline preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience as an Estimating Administrator or construction related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience with BuildingConnected, TradeTapp, or Bridgit Bench is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; professional interaction with internal teams and vendors.
• Ability to work in a team to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide document control for preconstruction pursuits.
• Facilitate reviews with internal departments (insurance, safety, quality, tax, bonding).
• Coordinate information requests between preconstruction teams and clients/engineers.
• Create the bid board for preconstruction pursuits.
• Outreach to subcontractors to support pursuits.
• Perform quantity take-offs as needed.
• Support trade assignments and subcontractor prequalification.
• Maintain Bridgit Bench assignments.
• Suggest improvements to preconstruction processes.
• Organize deliverables for final proposals.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
