Job summary

Wake County Public School System seeks an Instructional Assistant-Pre-K to support licensed teachers in General Education, Special Education, or Title I settings. The role involves assisting in instruction, classroom management, and implementing strategies across multiple Pre-K programs.

The candidate will work in a blended assignment, in Pre-K general education, special education, and/or Title I sites, coordinating with staff to ensure a safe, engaging learning environment for all students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional activities and planning.
• Provide supportive services for individual students or groups.
• Maintain confidentiality of student information (FERPA).
• Support health and safety of students and manage classroom materials.
• Coordinate with teachers on licensure-related strategies.
• Assist in preparing instructional materials and records.
