LaFave, Wein, Frament & Karic, PLLC is seeking a motivated Plaintiff Litigation Paralegal to support our personal injury practice in Albany. You will assist attorneys with case preparation, discovery, and trial support while maintaining meticulous file management and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have strong writing, proofreading, and interviewing skills, experience with case management software, and the ability to juggle multiple cases independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Paralegal with litigation experience across personal injury practice areas.
• Proficient with case management software and document management systems.
• Excellent writing and proofreading abilities.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with multiple cases.
• Effective interviewing and professional communication skills.
• Administrative experience supporting a law office.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation including case preparation, discovery management, and trial support.
• Manage and organize legal documents using document management systems and proofread for accuracy.
• Draft and prepare discovery and correspondence with meticulous attention to detail.
• Coordinate client and witness interviews; compile detailed reports for case development.
• Order medical records and lien records and follow up as needed.
• Maintain case files through data entry, filing, and document review to meet deadlines.
• Support project management by tracking case progress and court dates.
• Provide executive administrative support such as calendar management and phone etiquette.
