Job summary

Skiller Staffing LLC seeks an ambitious Employment Law Associate Attorney to join a growing plaintiff-side employment litigation practice in California. The attorney will handle single-plaintiff matters involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, whistleblower claims, and other California employment law violations.

Candidates should have a JD, active CA Bar, 1–4 years of employment law experience, and strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar membership in good standing.
• 1–4 years of employment law experience.
• Strong research, writing, analytical and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of plaintiff-side employment matters.
• Investigate and evaluate potential employment claims.
• Develop litigation and settlement strategies.
• Draft complaints, discovery, motions, briefs, mediation statements, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.
• Communicate directly with clients and provide legal guidance.
• Prepare cases for arbitration and trial.
• Conduct legal research and analysis.
• Manage litigation deadlines and case progression.
• Stay current on FEHA and California employment law developments.
