Job summary

A legal staffing agency is seeking an Associate Attorney with plaintiff side employment law experience to manage an independent docket of employment law cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, outstanding research and advocacy skills, and the ambition to grow as a trial lawyer. Responsibilities include managing cases from inception to trial while conducting legal research, drafting documents, and participating in hearings. Qualifications

• Active member in good standing with the California State Bar.
• 15 years of litigation experience, preferably in employment law.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines.
• Desire to grow as a trial lawyer.
• Deposition experience required.
• Trial or trial-prep experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own docket of employment law cases from inception through trial.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial briefs.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear in court to argue motions for clients.
• Engage with clients to shape case strategy.
• Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations.
• Assist in trial preparation and serve as second chair.
