Quality Home Health in Jamestown, TN seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to support rehabilitation under a licensed therapist. You will assist with exercises, gait training, ADLs, and patient education, while observing progress and ensuring safety.

The role requires PTA program completion, state licensure, and the ability to perform daily tasks with empathy. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in home health settings.

Formación

• Graduate of PTA program approved by the AMA CMA Council or equivalent; licensed or registered as required.
• Ability to perform job duties and work with patients across rehab activities.
• Capable of collaborating with the Physical Therapist and health team.

Responsabilidades

• Treats patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance.
• Directs and aids patients in active and passive exercise and gait training.
• Uses equipment such as ultrasound, electro-stim, moist heat, and ice in sessions.
• Observes and reports patient responses and condition changes to the Physical Therapist.
• Instructs patients and caregivers in ADLs, mobility aids, and device use.
• Educates team and family on procedures and safe practices during therapy.
• Records progress notes daily and communicates with other disciplines as needed.
• Adheres to agency policy, attends trainings, and maintains professional behavior.
