Job summary

Independent Living Systems in Plantation, FL is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our care team. You will evaluate patients, design individualized rehabilitation plans, and apply manual therapy and therapeutic exercises to restore movement and reduce pain.

You will work with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to coordinate care, educate patients and families, maintain accurate records, and stay current with evidence-based PT practices to promote independence and safe daily

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid state license to practice physical therapy in the United States.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology relevant to physical therapy.
• Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation and manual therapy techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, medical history, and therapeutic goals.
• Apply manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly to ensure effective rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and their families on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and lifestyle modifications.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and integrate new techniques into patient care.
