Job description

As a Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in helping patients recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve their overall physical function and mobility. You will assess patients' physical abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and implement therapeutic interventions to promote healing and prevent further injury. Your work will involve collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimize rehabilitation outcomes. You will also educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and lifestyle modifications to support long-term health. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to enhancing patients' quality of life and enabling them to regain independence in their daily activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the United States.
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy principles, orthopedic rehabilitation, and manual therapy techniques.
  • Experience in assessing and treating musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) or Sports Physical Therapy.
  • Experience working with geriatric populations and managing age-related rehabilitation challenges.
  • Familiarity with advanced rehabilitation technologies and modalities.
  • Background in sports medicine or athletic training environments.
  • Additional training in pain management and chronic condition rehabilitation.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical conditions, functional limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to orthopedic and sports-related injuries.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly to achieve optimal recovery outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure continuity throughout the rehabilitation process.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on injury prevention, home exercise programs, and strategies to maintain physical health and prevent re-injury.

Successful completion of a pre-employment background and reference check by an outside agency engaged by the company to conduct background checking, the results of which must meet our employment requirements. Depending on your assigned duties, work location, facility access, and applicable Florida requirements, you may also be required to complete an Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Level 2 background screening is required you must maintain eligibility throughout your assignment.
