Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to evaluate, plan, and provide rehabilitative care for diverse patient populations. You will develop treatment plans, supervise therapy sessions, and collaborate with physicians to optimize recovery outcomes.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, documenting care, participating in discharge planning, and contributing to department operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Massachusetts PT license, or must obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Successful completion of National Physical Therapy Board Examination.

Responsibilities

• Administers therapy evaluations and develops treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
• Analyzes data and assesses functional ability; consults with physicians as needed.
• Provides individualized treatment plans with therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Educates patients and families; participates in discharge planning and care meetings.
• Maintains departmental statistics and assists with inventory and billing.
