Job summary

Barberton-Post-Acute seeks a Staff Physical Therapist to evaluate residents, identify PT needs, and develop individualized treatment plans to restore mobility and independence. You will supervise PT assistants and coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and other health team members to ensure quality, patient-centered care.

The role includes in-services, participation in care conferences, and maintaining compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy; masters/doctorate preferred.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in the state; license in good standing.
• CPR certification if required by licensure.
• Ability to read technical procedures and manuals.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, and healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine PT needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update treatment plans to improve mobility and independence.
• Supervise PT assistants and train staff.
• Complete accurate documentation per policies and payer requirements.
• Educate residents and families on goals, home exercise, and safety.
