Job summary

HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist PRN to join a comprehensive care team in west Miami-Dade County. You will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, evaluating and treating patients within the physician-led plan of care.

The role emphasizes goal achievement, patient engagement and a positive patient experience while coordinating with the care team to ensure continuity across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist credential required.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide evaluations and treatment interventions within the scope of practice established by law and professional code of ethics.
• Assess and evaluate therapeutic/rehabilitative/functional status and participate in development of the total plan of care.
• Provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care to support patients according to the physician’s plan of care.
• Instruct patient/family/caregiver in home use of therapies, exercises, devices, or prosthetic devices.
• Prioritize caseload, determine daily staffing needs and coordinate assignments/handoffs.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Licensed Physical Therapist (LPT)

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days
