Job summary

HCA Florida Kendall Hospital is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our orthopedic and inpatient rehab team. You will deliver individualized therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, and educate patients and families on home programs to restore mobility and independence.

With access to resources, educational opportunities, and scheduling flexibility, you will work closely with PTs, nurses, and support staff to provide high-quality care and improve the patient experience.

Qualifications

• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (LPTA).
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapeutic exercises and functional training to help patients regain independence and mobility.
• Apply physical therapy techniques and modalities to reduce pain and restore function.
• Monitor patient progress and document responses to ensure safe, effective care.
• Teach patients and families how to use assistive devices and follow home exercise programs.
• Work closely with PTs, nurses, aides, and the care team to enhance the patient experience and support a culture of excellence.
