Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks a Physical Therapist to assess, plan, evaluate and implement care for assigned patients, following applicable Physical Therapy Practice Act standards. You will collaborate with physicians, nurses and other care professionals to optimize patient outcomes and ensure quality care across the continuum.

The role requires a state LPT license, a bachelor's degree (doctorate preferred) and BLS. Typical schedule is 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with per diem as needed coverage.

• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Gathers pertinent data from chart and other care givers; discusses with physician as necessary
• Independently assesses all patient types as assigned
• Recognizes additional needs during evaluation; exercises good judgment in decision making when requesting, scheduling and/or performing additional testing
• Interprets results and formulates relevant, measurable, realistic and attainable goals
• Reassesses patient progress regularly per department and regulatory policy, or when need arises
• Identifies appropriate equipment, discusses with patient and family and makes
