Job summary

The Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a Physical Therapist who evaluates and treats patients using PT principles, adapting care to age, development, and diagnosis, and collaborating with treating physicians to provide quality care.

Responsibilities include establishing goals, creating and revising treatment plans, educating patients and families, documenting progress, following postoperative protocols, and supervising assistants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required; Master’s/Doctorate preferred.
• One year PT experience is preferred but not required.
• Current PT license in good standing (state as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients, establishes goals, and develops individualized treatment plans.
• Provides direct patient treatment and revises plans based on patient response.
• Educates patients and families about abilities and need for continued therapy.
• Recommends modification to treatment plans to referring physicians based on progress.
• Prepares treatment documentation such as orders, results, and progress reports.
• Follows postoperative PT protocols to return patients to full activity.
• Oversees Physical Therapy Assistants in the clinic.
