Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited PTA program.
• Current Texas PTA license required.
• Organizational skills are necessary.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate clearly with nursing, administration, physicians.
• Outpatient rehab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide treatment as directed by the staff physical therapist.
• Observe and evaluate treatment effects and discuss observations with the PT.
• Assist with assessment and follow policy for reassessments.
• Support teaching plans and involve families as appropriate.
• Maintain department safety and cleanliness.
• Communicate with physicians and staff clearly and professionally.
• Coordinate patient care to meet patient needs and follow policy.
• Maintain records related to department operations.
• Participate in infection control and CQI activities.
