Job summary

DHR Health's Physical Therapy team in Harlingen is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist. The role targets evaluating, planning, directing and administering therapy modalities as prescribed to restore function after injury or illness.

The staff therapist leads department operations, supervises PTAs and aides, participates in quality improvement, and ensures compliance with budget, HIPAA, and safety policies while delivering compassionate care to patients across all ages.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy.
• Current Texas PT license and BLS certification required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Prefer outpatient rehabilitation experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise the Physical Therapy Department staff and assistants.
• Evaluate and plan therapy programs with physicians' prescriptions.
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust as needed.
• Maintain department records and budgeting input.
• Ensure infection control and safety standards are followed.
