Job summary

DHR Health is seeking a Physical Therapist for a full-time, days position focused on Aquatics Therapy. You will evaluate, plan and administer PT treatments prescribed by physicians to restore function and reduce disability, while supervising support staff and coordinating with other care teams.

Experience in outpatient rehabilitation is preferred; a Texas PT license and BLS certification are required. The role emphasizes infection control, HIPAA compliance, and adherence to hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of physical therapy.
• Current Texas PT license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Organizational and communication skills required.
• English reading/writing/speaking ability required.
• Outpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission and values in services and practice.
• Directs the Physical Therapy Department staff, including PTAs and aides.
• Observe and evaluate treatment effect; recommend changes to physician as needed.
• Assess patients for therapy needs and reassess per policy; includes geriatric and general populations.
• Develop teaching plans based on identified learning needs and involve family when appropriate.
• Maintain infection control, safety, and HIPAA compliance; ensure equipment safety.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing and administrative staff.
