Job summary

Mesquite ISD is seeking a Paraprofessional - Campus/Instructional Assistant to support the physical education program on the assigned campus. This full-time, non-exempt position reports to the principal and begins as soon as possible.

Responsibilities include one-on-one guidance, supervising activities, assisting with equipment, and supporting teachers with classroom tasks. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one guidance and redirection for students.
• Monitor students as the PE teacher instructs and redirect as needed.
• Assist in supervision of all activities.
• Remain with the class for the full period unless directed otherwise.
• Set up and put away equipment for class.
• Assist with teaching and with paperwork (e.g., bulletin boards, copies).
• Help maintain Conduct Book and file student notes for physical restrictions.
• Assist with reports such as Fitnessgram.
• Implement MISD policies; perform other duties as assigned.
