Job summary

Mesquite ISD is seeking a Paraprofessional - Campus/Instructional Assistant to provide instructional assistance and student supervision. You will support teachers during ARD meetings and help implement lesson plans, ensuring a safe, orderly learning environment for diverse learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom coverage for teachers attending ARD committee meetings.
• Assist in implementing teacher-directed lesson plans and instructional activities.
• Help students master instructional materials and reinforce learning concepts.
• Provide support to students receiving special education services, including implementation of accommodations and modifications as directed.
• Help manage student behavior and maintain a structured learning environment.
• Monitor students during assigned periods to ensure safety and appropriate behavior.
• Adapt to various classroom assignments, including general education and special education settings.
• Assist with instructional materials and classroom organization as needed.
