Job summary

Montgomery College is seeking part-time Adjunct/ESOL instructors for the Adult ESOL & Literacy – Grant program. Classes will be taught on campus at various sites across Montgomery County, with days, evenings, or weekends available.

Positions contingent on grant funding and reviewed periodically based on enrollment needs. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus ESOL teaching experience and commitment to inclusion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Two years of ESOL teaching experience.
• Experience with a diverse student population.
• Training in teaching ESOL.
• Proven ability to deliver high‑quality instruction to limited literacy/language learners.
• Demonstrated commitment to belonging, inclusion, and multicultural competence.
• Access to a personal computer with virus protection and internet access outside the work location.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without a sponsor.

Responsibilities

• Teach Adult ESOL, Literacy or Civics ESOL classes.
• Abide by program policies and procedures.
• Participate in training sessions prior to class start date.
