Qualifications

Possession of Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND two years of professional experience directly related to the discipline; OR
Possession of any Associate Degree AND six years of professional experience directly related to the discipline; OR
the equivalent
Understanding of, sensitivity to and respect for diverse backgrounds of Peralta students, faculty, staff and community.

Responsibilities

Teach assigned courses in accordance with course outlines and outcomes.
Prepare and deliver effective, student-centered instruction using evidence-based practices.
Develop and maintain course syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, and assessments.
Evaluate student performance timely and equitably and maintain records.
Submit grades and reports by deadlines.
Create an inclusive, respectful learning environment for diverse students.
Maintain regular communication with students and respond to inquiries.
Utilize LMS and instructional technologies as appropriate.
Comply with policies, CBAs, accreditation standards, and relevant regulations.
Participate in department meetings, PD, and college activities as needed.
