Job summary

Dixie Tech is seeking an on-call Welding Technology Instructor to support the Welding program. The role involves helping train students in classrooms and labs, ensuring engaging, hands-on experiences daily, and assisting full-time instructors with lesson plans and assessments.

The position requires 3+ years of industry experience, familiarity with SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, oxyfuel and plasma cutting, and strong communication skills. A flexible schedule is needed to align with program needs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of industry experience is required.
• Experience in instruction is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of safety and compliance in a learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist program faculty in instructing students according to syllabi and lesson plans.
• Develop and execute active, diverse learning experiences focused on learning by doing.
• Communicate clear objectives and ensure classroom and lab readiness for daily activities.
• Assign and grade class work and assessments in a timely manner.
• Observe and document student performance and provide feedback to instructors.
