Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at Southside Regional Medical Center in Petersburg, VA. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will deliver patient treatment across adults, pediatrics and inpatient/outpatient settings.

You will document progress in the electronic health record, help educate patients and families, and collaborate with the rehab team to tailor therapy plans.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an OTA program approved by ACOTE.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice.
• BLS required within 30 days for RSFH; preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Documents treatment and patient progress in the EHR.
• Implements treatment programs across outpatients, inpatients, pediatrics, and off-site locations.
• Collaborates with the OT and health care team to plan and coordinate treatment.
• Assesses daily living skills and adapts equipment accordingly.
