Job summary

Bon Secours seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant for Maryview Medical Center. You will support the Occupational Therapist, document patient progress, and help implement treatment plans across settings including pediatrics and inpatients.

Required state licensure as an OTA and BLS; COTA is preferred. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care with opportunities for professional development and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of current practice (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred upon hire, required within 30 days for BSMH, required at hire for RSFH)
• Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Provides age-appropriate therapeutic interventions as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintains accurate and concise records on treatment provided and patient progress.
• Observes and reports patients’ responses to treatment and progress to the Occupational Therapist.
• Collaborates with Occupational Therapist and health team to plan, modify and coordinate treatment programs.
• Assists in assessment of client’s daily living skills to determine abilities and limitations.
• Designs and adapts equipment in working/living environment.
