Job summary

The Energy Cooperative in Newark, OH is seeking a Corrosion Technician to handle external, internal, and pipeline cathodic protection tasks across east-central Ohio. This non-exempt role focuses on corrosion control, testing, monitoring, and preventive maintenance at company facilities and pipelines.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and 5+ years of corrosion control experience in a natural gas utility; NACE CP 1 certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 5+ years’ experience in corrosion control for a natural gas utility.
• NACE CP 1 Certification preferred.
• Experience with electronic controls, telemetry, and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Cooperative mission, vision and values in professional behavior and decisions.
• Comply with policies and safety procedures and maintain attendance.
• Test, monitor, and maintain cathodic protection per USDOT and PUCO regulations.
• Monitor pipelines and facilities for corrosion and oversee remediation.
• Repair, install, troubleshoot cathodic protection systems and devices.
• Maintain documentation for USDOT compliance and records.
• Perform related work as assigned.
