Job summary

Bradley Company in South Bend, IN is seeking an Apartment Leasing Consultant to provide leasing, sales, and resident service across multiple conventional multifamily communities. The role is flexible, fast-paced, and requires the ability to adapt to different properties while maintaining occupancy and leasing velocity.

You will tour apartments, follow up with prospects, process applications, and collaborate with maintenance and onsite teams to ensure a professional resident experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in multifamily leasing or related fields preferred.
• Experience across multiple sites or floating roles highly preferred.
• Experience with market-rate, conventional multifamily communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary leasing point of contact at assigned communities during coverage periods.
• Conduct apartment tours (in-person and virtual) and follow up with prospects through phone, email, text, and in-person communication.
• Convert leads to leases by presenting features, pricing, availability, and lease terms.
• Execute new leases, renewals, and required documentation in accordance with company policies and Fair Housing regulations.
• Meet or exceed leasing goals, occupancy targets, and lead-to-lease conversion expectations.
• Support retention efforts by assisting with renewals, transfers, and resident communication.
• Deliver a professional, welcoming, and consistent customer experience to prospects and residents.
• Respond promptly to walk-ins, phone calls, emails, and online inquiries in alignment with leasing response standards.
• Partner with maintenance and property teams to follow up on service needs and resident requests.
• De-escalate resident concerns with professionalism and elevate issues appropriately when needed.
• Represent the company positively within the community and with ownership groups.
• Accurately enter, update, and maintain prospect, applicant, and resident data in property management and CRM systems.
• Manage leads generated through ILS platforms (e.g., Apartments.com, Zillow, RentCafe).
• Process applications, screenings, verifications, and compliance documentation in a timely manner.
• Ensure leasing offices, model units, and tour paths are clean, organized, and presentation-ready.
• Adhere to all Fair Housing laws and participate in compliance training.
• Provide feedback to leadership on leasing trends and opportunities.
