Job summary

dfhextcareersite is seeking a results-oriented Loan Originator in Chantilly, VA to generate new business and referrals while maintaining strong client relationships. You will lead clients through loan packages and coordinate with loan officers, processors, and underwriters to move applications to closing.

The role requires 3+ years of mortgage loan originator experience, NMLS licensure in VA or MD, and experience with Encompass.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a mortgage loan originator.
Licensure with the NMLS in VA or MD.
Experience with Encompass.
Willingness to participate in a weekend on-call schedule 1-2x/month.
Strong relationship, sales, communication, and MS Office skills.
Understanding of loan program guidelines (Conventional, FHA, VA, down-payment assistance).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure a loan transaction closes smoothly.
Monitor the sales pipeline and generate new business opportunities.
Build personal relationships with clients and answer questions about mortgage products.
Create and explain mortgage cost analyses for clients.
Package files for loan openers and processors; ensure accurate disclosures.
Lock loans, structure files, and review closing disclosures with clients.
