Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools in Tennessee is seeking a Middle School English Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. You will design weekly lesson plans, develop standards-based assessments, analyze data, and create intervention plans to meet scholars' needs.

You will integrate technology and implement project-based learning. Responsibilities include creating lessons, using technology, collaborating with special educators in a co-teaching model for IEP/504 plans, meeting with parents, and attending

Qualifications

Hold a current TN teaching license in English and/or a middle school endorsement.
Bachelor's degree or higher aligned to subject area certification.
Proven track record of academic success as evident in TVAAS/state assessments (preferred).
Ability to work in an inclusion environment with a co-teacher if applicable.
Strong communication and digital content use in project-based learning.

Responsibilities

Create weekly lesson plans and teach a standards-based English curriculum.
Integrate technology into lessons and plans.
Meet with parents regarding student performance and conduct.
Collaborate with special educators in a co-teaching model for IEP/504 plans.
Develop scholar improvement plans and participate in weekly professional development.
