Job summary

Leadership Prep Academy in Georgia is seeking a Middle Grades Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction and promote academic achievement. The role requires collaboration with team members and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering both in-person and virtual lessons, assessing progress, and maintaining compliant classroom environments. Experience with Special Education IEPs and related duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a Georgia PSC-approved college is required.
• Valid PCS teaching certificate in the appropriate field is required.
• ESOL and Gifted endorsements are required.
• CTAE specialization education requirements apply where relevant.
• Must pass the GACE Education Ethics Assessment.
• Two years of verifiable industrial work experience is required.
• Industry licensure may be required depending on assignment.

Responsibilities

• Teaches grade-relevant, subject matter-specific, and mandated curriculum.
• Develops and implements lesson plans for in-person and virtual learning.
• Communicates with district personnel, students, and parents by phone, email or video.
• Creates an in-person and virtual classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Uses internet and web-based technology to provide instruction and collaboration.
• Assesses and documents progress, including attendance and classroom performance.
• Supervises student behavior per the Student Code of Conduct and handbook.
• Participates in student development conferences with parents, students and staff.
• Directs paraprofessional or instructional aide as needed.
• Maintains prompt and regular work attendance.
