Job summary

You will balance cash, process deposits and loan payments, and direct members to appropriate departments, with an emphasis on confidentiality and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED is required.
• 1-12 months of similar or related experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; transfer amounts from member accounts as directed.
• Cash checks and pay money from savings and checking accounts upon verification of signatures and/or member identification.
• Perform a variety of miscellaneous tasks including typing, filing, computer input and answering the telephone.
• Welcome members and provide routine information concerning services and direct members to appropriate departments for specific information and service.
• Balance cash drawer and daily transactions.
• Practice confidentiality where indicated in employee matters and credit union operations.
• Cooperate and work together as a team with coworkers, maintain a neat work area, and perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
• To assist other branches when they are short staffed.
