Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will assist with direct patient care, document patient information, and help coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic services under supervision.

The role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associates in medical assisting. Minimum one year MA experience or completion of a MA program is expected, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate Degree in Medical Assistant is preferred.
• 1 year Medical Assistant experience required or completion of Medical Assistant program.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document reason for visit and patient vitals (temperature, BP, weight, BMI, etc.).
• Prepare patients for scheduled procedures and ensure proper setup.
• Under supervision, administer vaccines, medications, and controlled substances when qualified.
• Enter orders and refill requests into the EHR and track results.
• Maintain patient care areas and equipment, ensuring supplies are stocked and functional.
