Job summary

NextCare Urgent Care in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Medical Assistant / Medical Front Office to support both clinical and front desk operations in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

You will assist providers with exams, perform patient care tasks, handle front desk duties, manage EMR/EHR, schedule, collect payments, and ensure smooth patient flow. A high school diploma and completion of an approved MA program or equivalent with national certification is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; AND
• Completed an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program.
• OR Completed an UNAPPROVED (non-accredited) MA program AND a National Certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA)

Responsibilities

• Assist provider with exams, including patient vitals, and procedures under supervision.
• Administer medications per policy and provider direction following safety protocols.
• Perform blood draws and urine collection for testing as directed.
• Support front office with patient flow, collect payments, and prepare discharge charges.
• Proficient use of EMR/EHR in daily duties.
• Handle general duties in urgent care, including wound care and basic procedures.
