Job summary

Denton Independent School District’s Navo Middle School in Aubrey, Texas is seeking a dedicated Math Teacher to foster a dynamic learning environment and deliver standards-aligned instruction.

The teacher will design engaging lessons, assess student progress, collaborate with colleagues, manage classrooms, and support diverse learners through differentiated strategies. Immediate start with 187 duty days per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for the subject and level assigned.
• ESL certification (preferred) or ability to obtain within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement district-aligned lesson plans with written preparation.
• Deliver engaging instruction using strategies and technology for diverse learning styles.
• Integrate technology to enhance student learning and engagement.
• Assess student learning and tailor activities based on results.
• Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula and provide accommodations (IEPs).
• Work with colleagues to set instructional goals that align with district expectations.
• Supervise and direct instructional aides and volunteers.
