Job summary

Delicato Family Vineyards in Manteca, CA is seeking a Skilled Materials Handler to receive, pick, rotate, and ship materials, supporting production while maintaining safety and inventory accuracy. You will operate RF scanners and forklifts, participate in 5S and Kaizen activities, and ensure proper palletization and documentation.

This is a non-exempt hourly role with benefits and growth opportunities in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 3+ years forklift/warehouse experience.
• Experience in large distribution environment preferred.
• Ability to operate RF devices and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, rotates, and order selects customer orders per standard work.
• Secures shipments for rail, ocean, and road transport with proper dunnage.
• Maintains a clean, safe workplace following 5S principles.
• Participates in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Operates RF scanner, forklift and related equipment safely.
• Completes paperwork and reports inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Communicates clearly with customers, contractors, and peers.
• Checks forklift condition daily and follows safety rules.
• Reads work orders and stacks pallets up to four high.
• Ensures pallets are secured or wrapped per standards.
• Empties waste bins in proper containers.
