Job summary

WMUR-TV in Manchester, NH is seeking an Anchor/Reporter who can deliver energetic live reporting from the field while anchoring the desk. This role requires writing and editing scripts with audience interaction in mind, developing exclusive stories, and mentoring other reporters and producers.

You will enterprise big stories, work under deadline pressure, and represent the station at public events. A valid driver's license and the ability to work varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of anchor experience
• 2+ years of reporting experience
• Demo reel reflects daily work
• Anchor connects with viewers and reports effectively
• Operate mobile transmission devices and use latest technology
• Willing to work in all weather conditions and varied shifts (nights/weekends) with up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver's license and clean record
• In-person attendance is required

Responsibilities

• Deliver scripted and ad-lib material with professionalism and purpose.
• Guide reporters and producers in newscast production.
• Plan and assemble stories on day-of news or special projects.
• Collaborate with managers and producers to develop exclusive, enterprise content.
• Build a network of sources for timely tips and exclusive stories.
• Represent the station at public events.
• Contribute video, photos, and text updates to mobile platforms.
• Handle multiple stories and meet deadlines.
• Summarize information into clear, understandable components
