Job summary

WMUR, the ABC affiliate in Manchester, NH, is seeking an Anchor/Reporter who can bring energy to the desk, handle live shots, enterprise exclusive stories, and hold power to account. You will write and edit scripts, mentor producers, and work under tight deadlines to deliver compelling news.

The role requires 2+ years of anchor and reporting experience, in-person attendance, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of anchor experience required.
• 2+ years of reporting experience required.
• Anchor that connects with viewers and can report live.
• In-person attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scripted and ad-lib material with professionalism, personality, and purpose.
• Work with and guide reporters and producers in newscast production.
• Plan, gathers and assembles stories on day-of news or special project assignments.
• Develop stories with exclusive enterprise angles and content.
• Develop a network of sources for tips and breaking stories.
• Appear on behalf of the station at public events.
• Contribute pictures, video and text updates to mobile platforms.
• Meet deadlines while handling multiple stories.
• Summarize information into clear components.
