Job summary

Hearst Television is seeking an Anchor/Reporter to bring energy to the anchor desk, enterprise exclusives, and dynamic live shots. The role requires leadership in the newsroom, mentorship to producers and reporters, and strong on‑air presence.

The position emphasizes breaking stories, developing sources, multi‑story juggling under tight deadlines, and in‑person attendance. A driver’s license and ability to work varied shifts, including overnights and weekends, are expected.

Qualifications

• Past reporting experience (2 years)
• Anchor experience a plus
• Must demonstrate ability to enterprise and uncover stories
• Demo reel should reflect everyday work
• Proven Anchor with strong reporting skills and viewer connection

Responsibilities

• Delivers scripted and ad lib material with professionalism and purpose
• Guides reporters and producers in newscast production
• Plans and assembles stories on day‑of or special projects
• Gathers compelling video with a photographer and produces engaging sound
• Develops exclusive content with enterprise angles
