Job summary

Cibo Detroit is seeking a dedicated line cook to accurately and efficiently prepare and plate a variety of hot menu items. You will work with broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers, ensuring quality and adherence to portion sizes and presentation standards.

Essential duties include station prep, maintaining sanitation, stocking ingredients, following closing procedures, and collaborating with a team to deliver timely service. A high school diploma and at least 2 years in kitchen prep are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years in kitchen preparation and cooking.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items for cooking using broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and other equipment.
• Ensure 100% quality of products served and proper portion sizes.
• Follow standard cooking methods, recipes and kitchen procedures.
• Stock stations and rotate ingredients to maintain service flow.
• Plate dishes with correct garnish and presentation.
• Maintain clean, sanitary workstations and equipment.
• Assist with off-peak prep and closing duties as needed.
