Job summary

Cole, Scott & Kissane seeks a labor and employment attorney in Florida to handle employment-related claims, take and defend depositions, and draft dispositive motions. The role includes attending hearings, mediations, and trials, performing legal research, and preparing pleadings and correspondence while communicating with clients, experts, and opposing counsel.

The ideal candidate will be a Florida Bar member with at least 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in labor and employment

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed member of the Florida Bar.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience preferred.
• Labor and employment law experience preferred.
• Strong research and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle matters involving employment-related claims.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions.
• Attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Perform legal research and provide analysis of case law.
• Prepare pleadings and correspondence.
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and opposing counsel.
• Provide exemplary legal counsel to clients.
