Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking instructors to design and deliver instructional programs across Athletics, Recreation, Fine Arts, and Community Education. You will prepare lesson plans, present techniques, and maintain classroom management to foster safe, engaging learning for all ages.

Responsibilities include delivering energetic, motivational classes, ensuring health and safety, communicating with program staff, and upholding the Salvation Army's policies and mission.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; certification/degree in related field preferred.
• Must have 1 year of experience teaching or instructing groups.
• Proficiency in English; Spanish language desired is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design instructional programs and prepare lesson plans and materials.
• Instruct with proper techniques and manage classroom expectations.
• Implement safety measures for classes and health/safety policies.
• Maintain professional demeanor with students, staff, and management.
• Collaborate with program manager/coordinator on development and scheduling.
• Provide feedback to participants and evaluate program outcomes.
