Job summary

Wake County Public School System is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support teachers and students across elementary, middle, or high school settings. The IA will assist in instructional activities, prepare materials, and help implement strategies to reinforce learning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six documented semester hours of coursework in childhood education, OR two years of work experience in a childhood setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom materials.
• Support classroom routines and student engagement.
• Collaborate with teachers to reinforce skills and concepts.
• Maintain a safe, caring, and orderly learning environment.
• Assist in administering screenings and recording results in EASi as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
