Job summary

Sagewood STEAM Academy in Columbus, Ohio, part of ACCEL Schools, seeks an Instructional Aide to support teachers, promote positive student behaviors, and help implement classroom activities within EK-8.

The role requires an associate degree or two years of college, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to lift 25-40 lbs; BCI/FBI clearance is required. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with opportunities for growth within our network.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the Paraprofessional Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher and follows instructional plans.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports teacher in student/parent relations.
• Assists with school activities and chaperones events as needed.
• Performs clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies.
• Assists teachers with the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains classroom cleanliness and safety.
