Job summary

ACCEL Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide at STEAM Academy of Warren in Warren, Ohio. The role supports teachers with classroom activities, promotes positive student behaviors, and helps maintain a safe, productive learning environment for EK-8 students in a hands-on STEM and arts focused setting.

Ideal candidates have an Associate degree or 2 years of college (or Paraprofessional Exam), MS Office proficiency, and the ability to manage confidential information and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or passage of Paraprofessional Exam completed.
• MS Office proficiency required.
• BCI/FBI background check required.
• Ability to meet educational standards and work under pressure with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with lessons and follow instructional plans.
• Help plan classroom activities and support teacher in student/parent relations.
• Support school activities and chaperone events.
• Perform clerical duties including grading papers and making copies.
• Assist with classroom technology and maintain cleanliness.
