Job summary

Arizona Autism Charter Schools, Inc. is seeking a Certified History Teacher for the Phoenix Main Campus to teach 7th/8th grade History using the charter’s scope and sequence and adopted curriculum. You will write lesson plans and manage a class to provide a productive learning environment.

Collaborate with staff, implement interventions, and align with IEP goals. The role includes coaching, observations, and adapting materials to meet student needs while following AZACS guidelines and safety

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Teacher Certification is required.
• Experience with autism or other special needs behavior management is preferred.
• ABA and structured teaching experience is preferred.
• IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is required.

Responsibilities

• Teach content area curriculum (7/8th Grade History).
• Write effective lesson plans using adopted scope and sequence.
• Use classroom management techniques to maintain organization and a productive learning environment.
• Implement instructional techniques to encourage and motivate students.
• Evaluate students’ progress toward IEP goals and document progress.
• Develop and implement student interventions after data analysis to increase growth.
• Communicate curriculum, activities, and data to parents and students.
• Collaborate with a classroom team and support staff; provide daily feedback.
