Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or related discipline (required)
• NYS Teaching Certification (preferred)
• One year of teaching experience in an urban setting (preferred)
• Knowledge of students with disabilities, particularly high-functioning autism (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with students and families and reinforce behavior and academic expectations
• Deliver rigorous instruction to groups and individuals and welcome feedback to improve practice
• Analyze data and assess student progress to inform instruction
• Differentiate instruction to engage diverse learners and develop IEP/behavior plans
• Partner with families to communicate objectives, expectations, and student progress
• Demonstrate professionalism and commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
